Service Description

A calm, supported one-to-one creative space for young people who feel more at ease in quiet, low-pressure environments. These sessions are designed for young people 12 - 18 years old who may feel overwhelmed in busy groups, need a softer pace, or simply benefit from having space to create without expectation. There is no pressure to talk, perform, or produce a finished outcome. This is a place to arrive as you are. Each session gently weaves together colouring, simple art-making, calming music, and optional moments of stillness or meditation. The focus is on settling the nervous system, encouraging self-expression, and offering a sense of ease through creative practice. Working one-to-one allows the session to be led by the young person’s needs on the day, whether that is quiet focus, rest, or gentle creative exploration. Everything is invitational and held with care. Sessions take place within a peaceful, professional studio environment. Parents or guardians are asked to remain on site to support a sense of safety while allowing the young person their own space. This is not an art class in the traditional sense, but a nurturing creative pause. A space to breathe, reset, and reconnect through simple, mindful making. MORE INFORMATION Session Times & Arrangements Session times are offered at 10am or 2pm, with additional times available by arrangement. If you need a different time, you are welcome to contact Jo via phone, text, or email so we can gently find a suitable space together. Longer or extended sessions may also be arranged where appropriate, allowing the session to be shaped around the young person’s needs and capacity. Arrival & Safeguarding New participants will need to book a free discovery meeting with Jo. At this first meeting, a short welcome form and disclaimer must be completed and ID may be requested for the accompanying parent or guardian. Parents or guardians are asked to remain on site for the duration of the session, ensuring support is available if needed while also allowing the young person their own creative space. This process is designed to support a grounded, safe and easeful arrival into the studio environment.
