Booking, Art Sales, Gift Cards & Shipping Policies

Bookings & Payments

Your place in a workshop, class, or session is confirmed once payment has been received in full. Each booking holds a specific date and time especially for you. Joanne will carefully prepare the studio or venue in advance, including creating creative prompts and ordering art materials, so bookings cannot be cancelled after confirmation.

Once your booking is made, you will receive a confirmation email and text. A reminder will be sent 24 hours before your session. Please check your email to ensure the details are correct. By booking or purchasing, you agree to these terms.

Your First Session With Joanne

For your first visit, please arrive about 15 minutes early so we can complete a short registration form before we begin. You will also need to bring photo ID and proof of address. Late arrivals may result in a shortened session, and the session fee remains non-refundable.

We also have a safeguarding and health & safety policy, which we will provide to you at your first session. If you have any questions beforehand, please contact us.

Workshops, Classes, Group Events & Courses – Cancellations & Transfers

All workshops, classes, and courses are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, please give at least 48 hours notice. Where availability allows, your booking may be transferred once to another date within 30 days. Transfers are subject to availability; changes requested with less than 48 hours notice are treated as the session having taken place.

If the studio cancels a session, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

Original Art Sales & Shipping

All original artworks are non-refundable once sold.

Shipping rates:

Flat UK shipping rate: £6.95, covering protective packaging, tracking, and care.
Orders over £75 receive free shipping as a thank-you for supporting The Peaceful Paintbrush.

Please allow 2–3 working days for delivery. Orders placed after 2pm or over the weekend will be sent the next working day to ensure careful, calm packaging. You will need to sign for your artwork upon delivery.

Delivery responsibility:
Once your artwork has been collected by the courier, it becomes the responsibility of the carrier. While we package all items carefully, The Peaceful Paintbrush cannot be held liable for damage, loss, or delays during transit. We recommend using the tracking provided and signing for your package upon delivery.

Gift Cards

Gift cards can be purchased for workshops, classes, courses, or studio sessions. They are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If a session booked with a gift card is cancelled by the studio, you will be offered either an alternative date or a full credit. Transfers due to your change of plans must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and are subject to availability.

Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law. All services, workshops, and artworks are provided with reasonable care and skill in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which ensures services are delivered as described and with reasonable care.
