About the Artwork
At the heart of this developing body of work is an exploration of what we can sense, intuit and feel, but cannot always see. Through a series of small-scale paintings, I explore ideas of faith, the divine and those quiet spaces that exist beyond certainty.
The works invite a consideration of how we perceive the world around us, how we interpret what lies beyond the visible, and how we create meaning from experiences that cannot always be explained.
This collection is currently evolving in my studio, and this painting offers an early glimpse into the developing series.
The original measures 20 X 30 cm and is painted on wood panel using layered gouache and tissue paper, creating a tactile surface and a sense of depth within the work.
