No 13 - Rewilding Your Mind: Finding Clarity and Inspiration in Natural Surroundings

Rewilding isn’t just about restoring ecosystems; it’s also about reclaiming our perspective and creative identity. It’s about embracing the untamed aspects of our being and allowing them to flourish. So, how can we apply the principles of rewilding to our own lives?

  1. Return to Nature: Just as rewilding restores natural habitats, spending time in nature can help us reconnect with our primal instincts and tap into our creativity. Take a walk in the woods, listen to the birdsong, feel the earth beneath your feet. Let nature inspire you and awaken your senses.

  2. Unfurl Your Inner Wild: Embrace the wildness within you. Don’t be afraid to break free from societal norms and expectations. Allow yourself to explore new ideas, take risks, and pursue your passions with abandon.

  3. Evolve Your Creativity: Like a rewilded ecosystem, creativity thrives when given space to grow. Carve out time in your day for creative pursuits, whether it’s painting, writing, or simply daydreaming. Let your imagination roam free and see where it takes you.

  4. Connect with Community: Just as rewilding often involves reintroducing native species, building a supportive community can help nourish your creativity. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who encourage and inspire you to be your most authentic self.

  5. Embrace Imperfection: In nature, there is beauty in imperfection. Allow yourself to embrace the messy, chaotic, and unpredictable aspects of creativity. Remember that it’s okay to make mistakes; they often lead to unexpected discoveries and growth.

By embracing the principles of rewilding in our perspective and creative identity, we can tap into our innate creativity, reconnect with the natural world, and live more fulfilling lives.

So, let’s step outside, embrace our wild side, and howl at the moon, walk barefoot in the grass and send out ripples of compassionate creativity upon the world. After all, the wild within us is waiting to be set free.
